And a whole lot more…..

Expect
For those that have attended our events in the past, you know what to expect. For those that have not we can tell you you can expect the unexpected.
Single track… lots of it.
Riders can do laps by not doing the laps!
The ‘Great Council of Lap Counters’ can be bribed for extra laps.
Race heads wearing their race face can find them selves penalised for being too serious.
The course has treasure up for grabs.
Riders who bug the timers about how many laps they have done can find themselves loosing laps!

In short the VVC is about turning up and having a good time, nothing more. If you are looking to come to the event with the aim to be all serious, competitive and a hero without a cause, we suggest you look elsewhere!

Just a reminder to people that this is on.

Hopefully by the event the new pump track is completed to allow people to completely destroy themselves between laps. The trail fairies are working hard to try and throw in another km of new single trail before the event.

Hopefully we can see a few of you up here for the race.

I guess this is a final reminder to people who may have been interested in coming, but forgot. The race is just over a week away now, so there is still time to get an entry or four in.

"with ‘Everyone’s a solo’ so teams can do laps together" that sounds good.

So if you were not really that into racing you could just...
-let the first lap go
-do a couple of laps with team
-have a BBQ dinner (take own little BBQ) and get on the refreshments with team
-watch some riding with refreshments from eski from vantage points with team whilst providing vocal motivation to the more serious riders
-do a couple of night laps with team and try and over-take said serious riders
-stack it
-watch the presentation
-more BBQ dinner and refreshments with team and other teams
-pass out.
-Wake up in the morning, cook some breaky and go home?

If I went, that would be my plan.

you left out drunken pump track shenanigans after the preso, but otherwise, I think you nailed it.

I'm sure with enough people camping, the bike lights would effectively light the track.
