Wisemans Ferry - by the East ferry crossing (turn right bottom of the hill). There is a good parking area by the kiosk here.

Details:
Wisemans Ferry ride. ie old North Road to the Buddhist Temple and back.
It is about 30km out and back and is a mildly technical ride. Great fun and spectacular terrain.

suggest to Clares bridge ( or further ) and then back, but rather than go back down the GNR for the last couple kilometers to the ferry on the way back, go down the rough part that the dirtworks follows to settlers road?
You're not supposed to ride down Devine's Hill anyway!

I have a flu coming on and I better take it easy next few days. It sux - I was really looking fwd to this ride. I have not been doing this ride in over a year.

does not sound like its going to go longer than the posted 30K ride? I was hoping for 50ish and Staffan sounded up for that..
Not really worth the 2 hours in the car for me if we are not going to to more.
Guys the weather forecast shows that it looks like there is going to be a couple of showers so I am
not going to head out to Wisemans tomorrow.
I will reschedule on another weekend that looks like the weather will be on our side.

Hi all - I've been watching this thread a bit and wanted to make a suggestion....
I go and often do this loop or derivatives, and wondered whether you had thought of heading up the North Road, over claires bridge, up to the juction with 'Donnys' track, down the hill all the way to the 'wetland' (hard right at the bottom of Donny's, and then up to Ten mile hollow. You then go home past the buddists and back through the GNR - finishing one of three, (only two of which are strictly legal) ways.
Its about 60km and a great loop.
now that sounds like my kinda ride, anyone up for it this Saturday morning?
