Did Perimeter / Long Track this morning. Still pretty sandy, but starting to bed down some lines with all the traffic. Grading has fixed a few of the wetter bits of Perimeter (for the moment at least), but still a couple of wet spots. A couple of the little pinches on both tracks were so soft it was impossible (for me) to keep traction.

Yeah, I just came back from a Hillfest ride and snuck P&L onto it. Wishing I hadn't. The trail is VERY sandy. Huge rolling restistance (good training) but not what I was looking for 50km into my ride. The short sharp hill on Long was a sand dune and completely unrideable. Personally I'm going to avoid Terrey Hills until after we've had some decent rains to wash some of the sand away. Rain forecast for tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Yes that sand is a real strength killer, although great training.
I did P&L twice today, combined with a couple laps of duckhole and center, my legs feel worse than after the Dirtworks, ( I'm sure that they are not though.. it's funny how you quickly forget the pain ) and it was only about 70K's.
heaps of riders out there packing down the lines.
