Looking to join a group for weekend social rides

Hi, I am a keen mountain bike rider, I ride for fun and exercise! I am in the over 50's and under 60's age group and above average fitness. I enjoy the out doors and meeting new people, it is boring riding alone, and would love to meet up for a regular weekend ride. I usually ride around the Terry Hills area but would like to explore other trails!

Cheers for now, Cliff W.

I'm in the same boat however I regularly turn up to the rides posted by others or post some myself. They're a great group of people and always welcoming of new riders. Most groups that ride regularly don't post their rides in my experience, hence the reason the posted rides are really useful.

Just register your interest in any of the group rides posted and join the fun. Alternatively post one up yourself if you're doing a trail you know.

Hey, welcome aboard. The whole point of this site is meeting up with folks for a ride. It's evolved over the years and grown, however at it's core, it's all about 'hey i'm going for a ride, who's coming?'.

So post rides you do and see who turns up!

I am always keen to go out for a ride and usually fit in at least one at Manly Dam and, lately, try to get out to for a longer fire-trail/double track ride somewhere as well. Not sure what pace you would prefer to go at but I am probably intermediate at best and happy to ride at whatever pace those I ride like.

Hi Cliff - that's exactly what the site is all about. Just keep an eye on the calendar, confirm your intentions to join a ride you like the sound of and come along.

Or if there's nothing suitable, as others have said - post up a ride you're doing and see who shows up. Persistence is the key sometimes though, they are a shy lot around here, you might have to try a few times before someone joins you Eye-wink
