Anyone using one yet? I got one for other purposes, but figured I may as well take it with me when I go riding.
I did the Oaks on Friday and Andersons / Oaks today. Both times it tracked me down the Oaks perfectly, but today it totally missed Andersons.

Has anyone else been using one of these and had large bits of missing data? Mine is the newer Spot2, however it does need to go back for replacement due to some battery life recall. I had great success using it in the deserts of California, just confusing why it didn't work today.

There's one other dude I know with one of these - I mailed him this link and he said:

...if under trees/in deep canyons etc there can be large gaps between positions. I'm sure the error is with the communication satellites rather than the GPS satellites, since there are so few of the former.

One problem that has been around for the past week is that OK messages are not going through... I have emailed SPOT, but no response yet, guess they are all on holiday still...
