Day 2, not looking that pretty

Not that I ever did.

Generally feeling very sore all over, glad now I did ride out and not bum a lift of the ranger, would be alot worse today if stopped there and then. So heres the run down

Right knee not that badly off actually. Most of the redness has gone from around the graze. Think I got most of the dirt out.
Left knee, hmm, worse than I thought yesterday. Bruising on the outside is going to be big, but not as big as the inside of the thigh. Save on pics at the moment, the bruising won't show through that forest I have growing on my legs.
Right shoulder, well the open sore is still weeping. This was directly ontop of my fall at Oxford Falls a while back so I expect will take a little longer to heal. Shoulders and neck relatively stiff, maybe I hit my head harder than I thought.
The Why hand, well not good at all. Despite constant icing throughout yesterday / last night the swelling is up across the back of the hand, bruising is growing on the palm although I don't think this will last too long. Fingers are all swollen across the base. Time to do something about getting rid off the ring but damned if I'm going to sit in an emergency room for 4 hrs so they can cut it off.

Ahh, that feels much better. Have slightly more movement in my fingers today than yesterday, don't think its anything too serious but time will tell.

Stuart, if you experience extreme pain in your hand after another day or so, it is likely you have broken a bone. Especially if there continues to be large swelling on it. That's a sure sign of a break. You never know, but I would get an x-ray taken of that post haste.

list of "wives" I apparently now have. After much nagging, and many many similar comments about getting it checked by numerous people I finally succumb(?) and went to RNSH last night.

Pleased to report no breaks, only "soft tissue" damage. Never know, if I can find a replacement helmet and I loose a little stiffness from my shoulders and both knees I may even be back on the trails this weekend.

BTW does anyone know an LBS that sells "Lizard skin" gear. I have an old pair of lizard skin gloves that I actually got from Kmart a few years ago and they are by far the most comfortable pair I have ever worn. Unfortunately Monday has seen further damage and I now need to replace them, just can't find them anywhere.
