GTA Volunteer Maintenance Day - 19 June, 2010
Top of Baileys Paddock.
We have spoken to the NPWS and they are OK with us doing a bit more substantial work on 'the trail formerly known as BJ's'.
I'd like to think we can get as much interest as we did with ' the trail forerly known as SH's'.
We will meet at the top of Bailey's Paddock around 9.30 for a 10am start down at the trail.
NPWS ranger Tiffany will be attending and NPWS will supply snacks and drinks, you will have to bring your own lunch if you want it.
Everyone is welcome, new starters or old hands and bring your friends, there will be a lot of work to do.
You need the usual; shoes, water, hat, sunnies, gloves if you have them and yellow GTA shirt if you have one, others will be available on the day.
Tools will be supplied.

We've got a big day planned with rebuilding of some corners, drainage work and some new trail features. NPWS will be suplying lunch too so those that want to can stay on and get a full days work in.

I'll be a late arrival. Watching the kids until 10ish. This rain should be good though.
The NPWS ranger has pulled out at the last minute for this Saturday, But we are still all go.
Anyone coming along just has to supply there own lunch and drinks, otherwise see you all there.

Really good turnout and construction today.
Superb weather for it as well, once out of the wind it was beautiful.
Just uploading some photos now, so I'll put them all on here once they are good to go.
Thanks to everyone who turned up, heaps of work done once again and the trail is really shaping up.
Most of the problem areas are done and I think we'll have it all finished on the next work day - should be Sat. 17th of July.
If it all goes to plan we'll have time to work on some more trail features as well.
