No... it's serious:

For a commuter the concept is probably sound. I mean, keeping the frame under load might even make it stiffer - so long as the ratchet system is up to the job. Maybe?

I'd prefer one of these, myself:

That bendy thing just looks like a step too far for me. Laughing out loud

What is it with you? you ride a bike with only half a fork and now you want something with a tube missing. You are man who is defiantly not out of the box.
Next you will want spokeless wheels where will it end?

That's actually me riding the bike in the top photo, and it's my hairy legs in the other two - I had a chance to ride it for a few weeks and write a review. Long story short: a couple of handling quirks but a fun bike to ride and it's definitely no wet noodle in the flex department.

Would I buy one myself? If my job required me to travel a lot, I'd say probably. But it doesn;t, so I'll stick with something a little more conventional.

Now if I could only work out where the other half of the fork fell off... anybody seen it? Eye-wink Oh, and if I could actually ride a mountain bike half as well as I talk, that'd be a bonus Sticking out tongue
