Lanyard Epoxied to Garmin 305

I've used concrete repair epoxy (P1). Plumbers and civil engineering types would be familiar with this stuff. Any plumber you know who does stormwater and sewer drainage will have some in his truck. You only need a micro amount. It's comes in two tubs, black and white, you mix it 50/50. Give it 24hrs to set. You can get a faster one (PF). It's used to repair concrete and stick things together.

I think any little stick of superglue would do it. I just happen to have some P1 as I used to inspect and repair concrete things in a past life.

I can't sew, so I took a small lanyard to the little tailor man at Hornsby Westfield (near the escalator ramps near KMart) and he trimmed it and sewed it for me for free. What a legend!

I would have had the lanyard a little longer & wrapped it or tied it onto the stem , not sure about that clip either had one similar on a phone a few years back was swining the phone & the clip broke & the phone went flying , not that you would be doing it with yours it is only a safety strap , I like the idea tho

The metal washer looks like it is stuck to the hatch cover over where the add-on memory chip goes. Do I have that right?

If so, I'd be concerned about how secure it is - I've already lost one of those off my 705 on the trail (no idea how), but fortunately the nice folks at Garmin sent me a replacement for free.

Nah... this is an Edge 305. They don't have expandable memory. There is no cover.

I noticed one of the Garmin Transitions team riders lost their Edge after a big fall.....luckily another rider saw it and picked it up before it got driven over...lol.
