hi all,
alright problem is iv just changed cranks, cassette, chain as everything was worn and slipping now with the new gear on it it is still slipping under pressure in some off the gears. I have changed from a 34t cassette to a 32t Shimano XT M770 9 Speed Cassette and have taken a couple of links out of the chain in accordance with the cassette change, the cranks are 22 - 32 - 44 truvativ stylo's . So i thought i would throw it out to you guys for any advise before taking it to the LBS to give them a go.

Assuming you have correct chain to suit the cassette & rings then first place I'd play is with cable tension. I assume it is the rear slipping in which case I would also check the dérailleur and or the hanger aren't bent. Are the jockey wheels on the same plane? When I bend the derailleur the lower jockey wheel is usually closer to or further from my wheel then the upper jockey wheel.
There could be plenty of other reasons but these are the most common and easiest to check & adjust.
for cable tension or bent derailler hanger.
thanks for that, i'll check my derailleur as I haven't done that as it has only just been put on also. I might give the full rear mech a look over and see how it goes from there. thanks guys.

Was all the stuff you changed brand new?
sure was, i have tinkered with the gear settings and it has fixed the problem although it is still missing on my middle shift at back.
just gone through the same thing mate, slipping under load, i'd check the derailleur hanger, and also the extension screw on the rear derailleur, so not the hi or low screw but the third one, you get an idea if you drop it in the smallest cogs front and back and you can see the tension, thats what i was told and it helped me mate.
