although this is demo'd for military use, I can see these ending up in state forests to compete with trail bikes.

I can't see one having a chance against a dirt bike. Top speed of 30 mph will limit it quite quickly
Nice exercise in engineering but completely ridiculous.
Imagine a few of those going round Manly dam, say 5 times.... not only will they rip up our pristine bushland......actually I'm not sure how many will survive the full course!

Not a serious replacement for a bike but it isn't supposed to be. As soon as I saw it towing a trailer I thought it had a use in a combat situation, radio controlled is a useful plus thing too. Of course the military have have a long history of pushing the boundaries of perceived sensibility. My fave was the flying platform idea from the fifties:

Search youtube for Hiller or WASP for more platforms. The WASP actually looks like fun
