From NPWS, please note;
We will be conducting a prescribed burn on Saturday the 25th, weather permitting, in the Diuris block opposite the primary school on Scenic Drive. As a result the Diuris track will be closed to mtb and Scenic Drive will be closed to vehicles. The Diuris track will also be closed on Sunday as crews continue to patrol the block. In the interests of public safety we recommend that bike riders/walkers avoid the area over the week following the burn due to the presence of falling limbs and the possibility of falling trees.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Some people call this Suess Land, so if your going from Shit Happens toward merewether.......take it easy and obey the signs.

lets keep our eye's peeled for new trails popping up after the burn.

New trails in that area would be a PR nightmare given it has an area of Endangered Ecological Community.

Just biting my tongue for now but it always happens. Probably depends on just how 'burnt' it gets.

On the other hand a good chance for re-hab/regrowth.
