Any of you guys getting sick of the rain and need to get a hit out before the Highland Fling next week should check out the new Spin studio above KOM2 in Crows Nest.
Free classes for this weekend only.
1hr Classes tomorrow are at 9am sharp and 4pm.
Martine and i went for a class this morning and it was perfect training for a rainy day so if you're all fired up for the Fling and feeling the cabin fever on this wet weekend get yourself along and see Joel at Totally CYC'D at the back of KOM2 bike shop, 507 Pacific Hwy, Crows Nest. Entrance in Clarke lane.

I went over to see this new cycling fitness studio today and it's really cool. Well worth people checking it out. I highly recommend Joel's spin classes. Upstairs at KOM2.

What would I need to take with me?

Wear your nix and a t shirt. If you have shimano cleats then the bike fits them otherwise you can wear runners or take your pedals and shoes and swap the pedals over when you get there, that's what I did today but take a pedal spanner as he hasn't got one there yet.
Oh, and don't forget a towel, you'll be sweating a lot!

Went to the 9am class. Excellent set up, only really got warmed up by the end of it so going to go along to the 4pm session too. Lot's of fun when the trails are washed out. Joel the guy who runs it is a great guy too.

I built the place. Still needs a little work but it'll be there soon.
Yeah, I was thinking that maybe a ride there and home with the spin in-between would be a good workout. Joel's gonna work out a good cycling specific upper body workout for me too so I'm gonna start that soon!

The spin classes are great for getting the heart rate upor spinning your legs when the weathers wet. Joel has many years of experience developing personal fitness programs so combine the two and it's an ideal place to become a stronger cyclist.

Imagine riding the next 100km race and still feeling strong at 85km.

Joel is a good mate of mine. The idea behind the studio is helping everyday riders, road or mountain, become better.

But yeah I love mixing up my training with spin classes, good to get the HR up in the high zone and good interval sprints as well. Went this AM to spin and it was great.
