Did someone say they were in the mood to ride at Coffs:

How excellent does that look?

(not for the bandwidth challenged)

yeh dude, thats the mt coramba downhill i was raving about! awesome course, cant wait to do it again on a dually, highly worth it!

Bruce's picture

anyone interested in a morning ride the day after the Coffs 100km, looks very very tempting.

Can you please show directions / map of how to get to that trail as I will be heading up to Coffs soon, much apreciated.

hehe yay someone gets to use my write up Eye-wink
http://nobmob.com/rides/mountcoramba
the pine creek trails look good too, but if you hit mt. coramba u will not be dissapointed! there is also a xc course at the bottom of the road (mentioned in the write up) that looks good too.
just remember, u need a semi reasonable car/ute that can take a steep rough road to get you to the top for the downhill, dont even think about being able to ride/walk it! a 4wd would be best, we did it in a 2wd van though..

Why not ride the DH stuff the day before? Or maybe ride it on the Saturday and the Monday? You'll have your Enduro or Big Hit by then, right? Sticking out tongue

Just watched the vid! (God bless Mom's broadband Smiling!
Great that you found this video Liam.
We HAVE to go there, it looks absolutely amazing. Can't believe how good the second part looks, wish we had a head cam too Smiling!!

Not sure about doing it Saturday, no stacks before the Sunday allowed Smiling

So does this mean people will be taking two bikes with them or just the one. If it is just the one then obviously in an attempt to adequately handicap the team for Sundays festivities, Bruce and Caro will have to tack DH rigs:-)

Bruce's picture

Your a smart man D, why didnt I think of that? So any one else up for a ride on saturday?

Rob's picture

Erm... aren't you meant to rest up the day before a big ride? Sticking out tongue

Bruce's picture

Any way its only down hill, no epic xc adventure.

That course does look amazing... Would be very tempting to have a 'taste' of it on Saturday...

Stuart M's picture

surely there will be enough time to hit these trails up Sunday arvo!!

Cool. I am all for doing this ride on the Saturday (as an entree) and some more on the Monday morning (dessert anyone?) Laughing out loud As I am doing the 50km, I feel fine with doing this ride the day before. I am also sure I would not put myself in a position to risk a major mechanical or injury.

But I am thinking our ride would need to be in the afternoon. I would probably drive up first thing on the Saturday morning and arrive about 2pm-ish?

We shall make arrangements later.

So its finally happened, Ditty gives in to peer group pressure & registers for a race.

Saturday sounds good to me, that will give us plenty of time to register later in the day/night, think its open till 8ish.

Has anyone got any thought about accomodation?

Just a note to all that this is the start of the NSW school holidays. IE traffic heading north will be a nightmare I expect.

Leave early Friday, say by mid morning, or sparrow farts Saturday morning failing that take a punt, and alot of car snacks.
