Great day

Firstly let me say what a great day Sunday was. Well organised everything ran smoothly.

I love the Mt Annan circuit it's a lot of fun with a mix of everything. Being my first race i was conscious of not going out like a bat out of hell and trying to break a lap record on my first lap. I think I paced myself pretty well. I liked the fact that these races are just timed laps so competitors could be spaced out. I ran into the occasional traffic jam but everyone was friendly moved to the side. Got into the groove and just stuck my head down and kept going. Before I knew it my 3 laps was over. Now I just have to keep my training up and see if I can do the 40km event in Awaba. The track held up very well even after 2 days of racing.

I have to apologise to the poor people that were behind me. When i got home i had a look at all the photos the girlfriend took and from about halfway through the 1st lap my shirt had lifted up and had a bit of a plumbers crack hanging out.
