First time out there - so not sure what this place is usually like trail wise.

Weatherwise - no rain today, but it looked like a couple of mm fell out there overnight. Some of the climbs uphill through the trees were fairly damp - I was running race king tyres and had almost no grip - so take it easy and use some caution here.

Everywhere else was great - the open areas had just enough moisture to settle the dust and really hook into the berms.

Was pretty popular out there given it seems like the only dry place to ride.

Tight trail, but pretty fun - except of those outrageous loose rock sections scattered around the blue loop.

Blue loop was slippery at 10am, but was improving through the day, was getting a lot more grip after 12pm but not as fast as yesterday.

If any rain tonight/tomorrow morning for the best trail condition I would wait till 1/2pm before riding or just ride the green loop.

I also rode there for the first time today. Great track but the clay just clogged my tyres. I was running a rendez on the front and a crossmark of the back and neither liked it. At one point my front tyre washed out while riding in a straight line across a slope!

Can't believe it was dry there Wayne. It rained most of the night here near Parramatta. I went out about 11am for a 4hr ride and got drenched for the first 2hrs. The rain stopped & the wind blew like crazy for the second half. I would have come to Mt Annan if I had realized how dry it was!

When I got home, my wife asked why I took so long - when I said it was not running at Mt Annan she didn't believe me, as it was like a hurricane had hit Avalon.

I guess Sydney is a big place. It did take me about 1hr 15min to drive there !
