Popran NP

While looking at yesterday's slight exploration from Brieses Rd I noticed that Popran NP is just the other side of Peats Ridge Road.

There's a few trails marked in there so I traced them out to measure, came in 16.6Km all up, that means if one rides this lot out and back it's a nice 33Km ride:

There are two valleys to cross, making three steep climbs and one longer but not so steep one. Is anyone game to check this out anytime?

What is awesomely cool is that if you used the East/West trail from here you could ride Mooney Mooney Creek + Popran then hit the East end of GNR and ride that! Literally 100s of Km off road with maybe 1Km of tar to link it! Eye-wink

I'm in.

I do seem to recall that my mate took me 4wd there many years ago and one of the trail heads was just up from the exit of peats ridge road and the freeway. It runs parallel to the old pacific highyway... Maybe it even goes to Mt White??

Surely someone out there has already done this trail???

If we could fit it in the schedule, I am all for it. New trails!!

Looks like a nice long ride could be worked out as you suggested Rob, I'm not concerned at all that it can't fit into the near future, and would be keen to do some recon on it in about 5 weeks. Sad
