Does anyone have the tool for the special nuts holding on the chain ring? I would like to borrow one for a short while to install a new chain ring?
Will be riding pennant hills Saturday if that is convenient.

I assume it just the nut on the back with the little slot in it you are talking about & that it is shimano.

I've always found with those things a screwdriver holding the back side still is fine. With a little teflon spray for the sticky ones if necessary... and for tightening the same thing, just remember to clean/grease things appropriately before reassembly.
