Does anyone have any information about the trails at Green Point? My wife has ridden there a few times with a local women ride group and she took me out there to show me the trails on Sunday. I did not expect much to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised and there were some fantastic short technical climbs that had me blowing pretty hard. Firstly, I was wondering if these trails are legal to ride and secondly, if they are, does anyone have a map? With a bit of knowledge I reckon that one could make a pretty handy ride loop. It also appeared to be mostly gravel and would probably be a fairly decent wet weather option.

I havent ridden at green point. But I have done a little bit of riding at kincumber mountain. Im pretty sure there are some trails that lead from the top of kincumber mountain down to Green Point. From the top you can get all the way down to erina on a fire trail or some very technical single trail + much more i didnt get to ride. Check out the Kincumber Mountain ride entry for a bit more info on the trails in the area.

Im a central coast local and always up to go exploring if there isnt any definitive info out there.

Thanks for the post Scotty, but I was referring to Green Point which is between Valentine and Belmont in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area.

There is trail in Greenpoint. I haven't ridden there recently though.

I'll defer to gazpics for the quality or even legality of riding there. I know there is a walking trail as well, but all the stairs make it bad for riding there was always trails running down the hill to the water. I Have a meeting with LMCC on Saturday, might ask some questions then.
