Does anyone else have problems logging into the MTBA website? I seem to have half a dozen membership numbers and even when I try to log in with a new password that they have emailed me it still comes up with an error message. It seems to be a real mess.

I was trying to join a club online but it seems you have to go through the horrible MTBA site to do so. When I signed up for the 12 Hour event there were similar issues.

Opinions or fixes anyone?

Well I want to join a club and it seems you can't join a club unless you go through the MTBA website. Someone needs to sort it out.

Maybe it is a browser issue. What Browser are you viewing the site with?

Zoom's picture

I don't think its a browser issue as there was a major problem when people tried to enter the 12 Hour event.

Isn't all that done through register now?

Yes, you try it and tell me if you can get it to work.

I just logged in okay and I appear to be able to join a club too.

I logged on, no problems at all.

Which club do you want to join? If you can't get the MTBA method to work, and would like to join WSMTB - then email me at [email protected]

There is definitely issues with Register Now. I e-mailed them about that problem, when I tried to pay for Willo's Enduro. They acknowledged that there were problems and were trying to sort it out.

MTBA on the other hand, I have not tried.

I had problems logging on - I emailed them and they did some kind of fix and then it worked.

ONce it was fixed it stayed fixed, and it is pretty convenient for entry and membership renewal.

I don't think the problem is with Register Now, it seems to be the interface with MTBA.
Don't worry about it I'll try again in a few weeks.

Folks,

MTBA Membership:
As the PMBC is affiliated to the MTBA you join the MTBA and nominate a club.
Their website has never been the best . . but it does work.

Entering Events:
Last Friday evening (30 Sept) Register now put an MTBA "skin" on.
This caused all kinds of issues. They have now reverted back to the old "Non-Skin" so all should be as it was - people are entering events fine.

People,
As the club treasurer I can assure you that I understand that the MTBA web site is by no means perfect, if anyone is really interested we can forward you the kilometers of email trails from myself, TT, Greg and our predecessors on this issue - but right now it is the best option we have. (and yes, people have looked into the idea of affiliating with another national body - good luck with that one)

It allows member and non-members to enter races and to take care of the paperwork behind it (Day licenses, make sure members are members etc).

So, please stick with it.

We can do things manually . . .as a last resort.

not sure if this is the same problem but there is an official update on the MTBA site re online services problem

Let me explain.

after many phone calls to the MTBA last week we worked out this work around - note on the front page:

http://perthmtb.asn.au/node/31517

However, since then they (register now) have reverted back to the system without the skin. But I don't know if the skin has changed and the problem remains - or if the Skin was causing the problem . . . . and thus we have just gone back to the way things used to be. . . . . .

I'm hoping like hell it is the latter.

Ian
