Hi, Taking my father (73yrs) out for a ride, very fit, daily mal surfer at Manly

I was going to take him on Bairne track tomorrow, considering it is supposed to the easiest. In light of recent commentary of its conditions, can anyone reccomend an alternative.

Needs to fire trail, flat and easy and about 7 k

Thanks

Perimeter and maybe Long at Terrey Hills, starting at the Japanese School?

Long is worth it just for the views near the end. Starting at the Japanese school will avoid the worst of the muddy bits and the steeper water bar sections. Duck Holes and Centre tracks would be drier, but the water bars on the long descent down Duck Holes could catch a newby out, and there is a bit of climbing involved on West Head Rd and the start of Centre.

Good on you for taking your Dad out. My cousin (who is a similar vintage) and I often go out together when I go to visit him at Old Bar.

Good call! Will try centre track, there and back, easy trail and good views! Long track will be next!Smiling Will post an update when done!
