XC Network - Still closed. We will be doing a full trail audit next week, but at the moment there is still a lot of groundwater bubbling to the surface, combined with the mess left from the Nationals we have left it closed.

DH Trail - Closed at the request of State Forests but the top half may be in use for racing this weekend.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

What are the State Forests' concerns with the DH trail?

Has two days of sun helped dry out Awaba at all?

Still closed.

There are issued with the trail condition and damage done during the nationals. Until we reinstate the trail to IMBA standard, it wi stay closed. The top half of the DH is fine, while I haven't seen the bottom, apparently there are sections where the water is still bubbling up and the trail as a whole is a mess. As with the XC, there are sections with devinci can't widening as well that needs to be addressed.

The club DH round for tomorrow has been cancelled despite plans to just use the top half.

It's looking like quiet a lot of work will be needed to the XC and DH trails before they open.

To the rumour that this was caused by CSG extraction?

So not looking good for next Sunday then???

I'll post an update later in the week after we have done an evaluation of the trail. We are planning on looking on wednesday.

As for the CSG, sounds feasible as an excuse.

As far as I can see, AGL haven't dropped any CSG wells within the vicinity of the trails.
