Wow!

For those of us who don't know, how much travel does this monster have?

And... when do we get to see you flying through the air on it? Sticking out tongue

oh my god!

Look at the angle on those forks!!!(not to mention the length) you could hit a vertical brick wall with that and still soak it up!
Super, duperly nice man. You'll have an absolute blast on that.

I saw your post that you got a new toy on FB. Man, those are some serious front forks. Forks on steroids!! Smiling Look at the raking. Its my brand too. Where do you get one of those?? If you find you ride it and don't like it, you know there is a happy home here in Cremorne for it. Eye-wink

Cheers all.

The 08 Norco Atomic retails for $3000 but uses last years team frame. For that sort of cabbage I couldn't resist so I picked one up and swapped over all the bling parts I had on my Cove.

The Forks are 8" travel. I think the photo angle and the shortness of the frame must make them look taller. They actually feel more up right then they did on the Cove, and it's a goos 2" shorts in the wheel base.

It's or the option of 8" or 9" travel on the rear:o)

Took it for a quick run today but need to play with the chain line as it kept jumping out of the guide.

Had my first race on the beast Tuesday night at our twilight races. Setting up new timing system left me with no practice run at all. Added to the cold start I unfortunately had a chain issue that prevented me from pedalling the bottom section.

Anyone who raced our State round on the twin tracks will understand how much pedalling can be done in the bottom half of Hip and Miss...

Anyway I was 0.07 off my best time on that track.

Today just for shits and giggles I thought I'd try and see how far up Hassans Walls lookout I could ride it before giving up. With the seat up I made it right to the top far easier than I thought I would. man these things pedal well.

Despite stopping for a chat with a couple of guys for several minuets I managed the 3km fire road climb in 23min. Not bad considering I average about 14min on my xc bike without stopping.

Once at the top a few small hucks, some natural rock stairs and then down the Gun Club DH track grinning like an idiot.

I think I like this bike.

Do that kind of fire trail hill climbing often, and you will end up flogging it up hills on your other XC bikes. Easy done. You'll end up with weight lifters legs! Smiling
