I am thinking of going the internally geared hub route getting sick of sticks and crap playing with my drive train.Anyone got any thoughs pros/cons

Cons, is cost as far as I am aware a decent internal geared hub such as Rohloff is a fortune.

Pros, no more snapped derailleurs.

You could go a 2speed schlumpf, but they are pretty expensive at 2500. Have you tried SS?

From my breif look into the Rohloff hubs estimates came to about 2.5K and are very involved to fit up to anything bit a farme designed for them...

They do seem to be very effective though!

About 600 for a shimano alfine hub plus rim/spokes.Tring to find out if its been done on a 6in travel frame.Other thing is gearbox in frame.
