Hi all

We need support at Warringah Council chambers 6pm Tuesday 26 for Dirt Jumps.

Even if this is not your thing please show these guys some love. They are a great crew who ride and support other disciplines too. Many have helped us massively so far at TraiCare for Red Hill and Oxy, Pittwater.....

This follows on from meetings with Council about Freedom where riders agreed to work towards finding a better site.

At the moment Dave M is pencilled in for speaking on behalf of riders.

Please come and make some noise of support to show Councillors how much we need this.

There's been one done but Advocacy meetings don't show on the front page. Sad

Something to bring to Rob's attention.

Come on all, if proportionally NobMob gave DJ as much support as DJers are giving everyone else we could have 100s of riders at this meeting.

It's something I'm thinking about taking up too, my mates are finding DJ is perfect for fitting in around young families now that longer rides don't work out as much time wise.

These guys have nowhere to ride locally and have already gone through the process of getting official jumps which unfortunately resulted in something not rideable for them at The Grove under Manly Council.

Let's show support at Warringah Council.

Hi all

In what was the only unanimous decision all night all councillors voted to get Council staff to work with TrailCare and Freedom Riders to identify a site and develop official proper DJ's in the area!

Many thanks to everyone that showed support at the meeting, to Dave M for his speech at the meeting on behalf of riders and everyone else working behind the scenes developing DJ Guidelines for Council's insurer.

Good work to all involved!

I like the wording "official proper djs" Smiling

A win for DJ, is a win for the biking scene as a whole!

Sorry I couldn't be there to show support guys.

Just a thought and I don;t know if this has been considered. Forestville Park, which could be part of the future Bantry Bay trail has two ovals. One which is used and one which is not. I back onto the park and in the 6 years I've lived here the oval has never been used. Could this be a possible location for a DJ park as well as other communicate facilities such as a kids park? It's a beautiful location, surrounded by bushland that is being wasted!

Sounds perfect. Right in Rosemary's backyard Eye-wink

That definitely has potential.

We have a meeting coming up with Council and will discuss it.
