XC hitout or...
Are we wanting to play on the technical stuff (if there are any 'technical' tracks around)
Forgive me, I don't know what the tracks are like on the West Head other than Waratah...
Some Technical
There is a small degree of technical riding on Salvation tracks, but it's mostly easy fire trail up there. I don't think any plan is really set in stone - will just play it by ear regarding what tracks we end up riding I guess.
If you want 100% XC then hang out for Paul's Duck Hole/Centre/Waratah later in the day.
Bike selection...
Rush or Jekyll?
Bring the Rush
There's nothing to jump off
Depends on
doesnt really matter,

Today's Profile
Niiiiice
Although Waratah track has been recently graded (the dozer is still half way down the track) so instead of few sections of nice rocks there was the odd pile of rubble churned up with nasty white/brown mud. Like riding in molasses at times.
Salvation was in much better shape - and very satisfying
Nice ride
Nice ride fellas. Lots of laughs today, good company, decent pace, and pretty good trails. Don't get to ride out there at Salvation that much. Nice to get back there.
Just on the 'grading' thing. A bulldozer is grading the start of the Waratah track, and so far has penetrated about 2km into the trail. But there is no telling how far this will ultimately go. There is also some minor trail maintenance going on further past the grading, where some water bars have been created / enlarged. The grading, and water bars, are very soft and muddy. Although it has been raining heavily recently. You might like to fit some Desert Duellers to your rig if you are riding out there anytime soon.
Catch ya.
