Manly Dam update for 18 Aug
Submitted by Black Flash on Sat, 18/08/2012 - 09:24
Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open Driest ive seen it in ages. All good here.
But - its also become the most technical ive seen it. The drop offs are bigger, the ruts are deeper and the roll overs have wheelcatches at the bottom. Even our experienced riders today went otb.
Either its pretty techy or the head injury has made my balls smaller...
Love the dam!
Do you have more information?

opps....I posted this in the
opps....I posted this in the wrong section.
but since I cant delete this post.
I'll whole heatedly agree with the OP about the state of Manly Dam.
I particular like the Back End Down Hill. After Bear right down to the bridge on Strava sections. I'm still about 15 secs off my PB with it being a little harder to ride.
But hey its not all about Strava segments.....LOL
Its about Loving The Dam for being a little more difficult.
It's not your head
The differences are just more noticeable when you haven't been around there for awhile.
I rode there 2 weeks ago
I rode there 2 weeks ago after being off the bike for about 6 months and will admit you need to concentrate a bit more, but that may also be because i was riding an unfamiliar bike with tyres that werent the best suited to damp conditions
See how we go this weekend
