Manly Dam update for 14 Sep

Area:
Manly Dam
Status:
Green/Open

Rode this morning and despite the rain yesterday, it's still in good condition.
One or two tiny puddles that'll be gone by tomorrow.
Hat's off to the trail maintenance team. Seems like the raised area will work well when the weather turns nasty.

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

Been outsmarting the butcher the last half dozen rides by going up fom King St via Seebrees St to Sunshine St. Great ... Except rode thru a swarm of bees on King St this arvo... I'm allergic to them so I was literally freaking ... rode onto the other side of the street without looking .. but they were there too. Manly Vale wildlife is starting to get the better of me ...

Shout out to fellow nobmober Josh (and fellow butcherbird target) having his first ride on his new Cannondale 29er. Thanks for sharing the ride.

Rode this morning and just a few tiny puddles on the single track. Otherwise great condition and no bird attacks either.
Did see the the tail of a sizeable snake disappearing into the bush by the bowling club though.

So I read this update before going riding today and couldn't figure out what the "avoid the butcher" meant but now I totally understand as my nose has two nice gashes in it from stupid Magpies up by the school. Had no idea Magpies could be so mean. Here I was riding my MUni, minding my own business when all of a sudden this bird is right in my face. Lucky it only got my nose as I wasn't wearing glasses. Which is kinda ironic because I ALWAYS wear sunglasses even if it's not sunny out, just to protect my eyes from branches and such. The one time I forgot them and I get attacked.

BTW the trail was in mint condition!
