So, drew number 113 for my next race. What's the convention for mtb races?
I know roadies turn no 13 around, think I've seen a 113 upside down too?
Wouldn't want to get disqualified by some overzealous official...

I'd run it upside down, although for the 100Mile fling I doubt the unlucky gremlins would bother with you.. because whats the chances of being both unlucky and insane?

... I've read the rules. however they only mention 13, not 113.
and I'm absolutely 100% sure that I've seen the upside down 113 at the tour couple years ago.
it was the year when cancellara had no 13.
you see, I'll need all the good luck I can get to have a reasonable shot at finishing this Sunday.
been having this vision of returning to the pony club and finding a lone car sitting in an otherwise empty paddock.
I suggest if this sort of superstition upsets you then what you should do is, have your palm read, get someone to read your tea leaves and then go see a clairvoyant and read your star sign! If that doesn't ease your mind nothing will.
Then if nothing happens you can go either way, you've either debunked the superstition or if something goes wrong you've got a ready made excuse
