Ergonomic bike setup

I'm looking for someone who can set up a MTB for best ergonomic fit as I'm starting to develop a bit of pain here and there. It is worse on my training bike than on the racing bike so I'm hoping I can rid myself of some of the discomfort by getting the bike properly setup.

If any of you have had a good experience please advise where to go to get it properly done.

Thanks

It is worth considering seeing a physio before seeing a bike fitter.

Your pain might be down to a muscle imbalance that has been there for a while but only highlighted by your recent riding.

Getting your bikes adjusted to account for this might really just be masking the underlying issue.

That said, Steve Hogg is meant to be the guru for road bikes. Assuming your spend most of your time sitting on your MTBs, he could be a good starting point. Call now and you might get in to see him by December!

Blair Martin does Physio and bike fitting. I recommend him as I've seen him for both. He also is a cyclist so he understands where you're coming from.

I'd say that Blair is a great bet. He'll check you out and set you up.

+1 for physio.

Others here including myself have had good results with Martin Krause at Back in Business Physiotherapy in North Sydney. Martin is also a cyclist, and has a trainer in his rooms that you can fit your bike to so he can see you pedal. I was recommended to see him first by Steve Hogg before completing my bike fit.

He has a depth pf talent in his practice as well. It is the set of exercises his associate Jacquie Ryder developed for me that keeps me pain free.
