Very very wet!-only had a look at Double Barrel which would mean some of the tracks much be much worse!-will the Adventure race being organised for this weekend be canned if still too wet?(well maybe just MTB bits on singletrail).

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

I've started the discussion with NPWS about this weekend.

For now I think its a case of seeing what the weather does. If its dry till the weekend it could be OK, but there are forecast showers/storms which if they hit Glenrock would be bad news.

I'll keep you in the loop.

glenrock is an awesome piece infrastructure but we never get to race!!! if your not entered for the weekend you should be!!!
lets hope that this weekend will happen and we can show that these events can happen more often.A little sun will help but its an adventure race after all

Does being an adventure race make it OK to race the trails in less than ideal conditions? I've got no objections to a race in Glenrock (As long as they aren't on every weekend I support it), but I do if its wet and on the trails we maintain. I've spoken with the NPWS today and the conditions will be monitored and if necessary the wet weather course will be implemented. The wet weather trail is comprised of the fire trail network.

There are advanced plans in the pipeline for an event (bigger and better than the hillclimb we did last time) later this year to raise money for trail building. More on that at a later date when more details are locked in. But again, if its wet, it won't be on.
