I am relatively new to Glenrock and Mountain Biking, having only bought my bike a few weeks ago.

I have ridden (slowly!) some of the tracks at Glenrock.

One track that intrigued me was Seismic. I want to know whether the overgrown grass right beside the trail is an intended feature of this trail, or whether it has just gotten out of control?

There has been perfect growing conditions over summer.

Its out of control. The amount of rain during summer has the grass going wild.

The tops of the berms are gone. Trail really needs a hair cut and some more dirt on the berms. Its on the list to do, but there are so many other jobs to get to as well.

Last week have been having discussions with the NPWS Ranger. Tony, from GTA, has volunteered to do the slashing work but I am trying to get it sprayed first so the job will last. The NPWS feild officers will probably have to do that part.
So more on that when I find out.

If anyone wants to help Tony let me know as we need a spotter when he is using the brushcutter.

As for re-building the berms, well the dirt is there but it is definitely a machine job so might have to wait it's turn.
I'll look into any options to fast-track the work.

All it requires is regular maintenance!
If it isn't slashed on a regular basis it will become overgrown.
What's the problem?

Thanks for the responses guys. Good to see it is getting looked into.

I would be willing to lend a hand if needed.

Cheers.

Regular maintenance round here relies on volunteers.

Anyone that wants to be involved in that can contact me and I will try to organise work at times that suit you.

Ran through Glenrock yesterday just before the rain and the back of the quarry loop is armpit high in tall grass as well. On quite a few trails there was actually dust being kicked up. Now look at it,,,, quagmire again just before the weekend
