Hey guys
Looking for some advice on medical / travel insurance for an upcoming multi stage race I have in South Africa. Any suggestions?

I've used CoverMore for a surfing trip to Bali.
travel insurance direct has always been reasonably priced..
a mate had to claim with them (perforated eardrum in hawaii) and they were really easy to deal with
also double check if your credit card has some complimentary insurance - a few of them have been doing it over the last few years
You do need to check whether they will cover participation in sporting events such as races. Some do not. Scrutinise the offer document closely.
I am pretty sure Velosure have international coverage including racing as an option in their policy.
I haven't looked at this for a while, so you should download the latest product disclosures to confirm.

Velosure was the only travel insurance I could find that would cover you for racing as well. I had this last year when I did the BC bike race in Canada. It was pretty reasonable price too
