Amber/Some Issues Seems they found some asbestos the day after the 24hr race finished. Pretty lucky with the timing 
Most of the tracks are still open.

The closure is not a big problem. Having just ridden there last Friday the 5Th, where the track closure begins and a sign indicating a detour leading to the Luge, we instinctively rode back up the fire trail, and towards Mount Stromlo Rd, then along Mt Stromlo Rd past the trig mount (summit) and back into the dirt just past the top of the Downhill trail start and onto wedgetail junction. Didn't feel like we missed any significant part of the trails at all.
Strangely we all got the impression the track was closed for maintenance or upgrade works. No mention of asbestos on any signage we saw!
Still a great riding location despite the closure, even after a 3 hr drive...
Skyline and the Luge still accessible and in very good condition.
The red tape marking the top of the closed section thats alongside MT Stromlo Road had closed for asbestos written on it. I only noticed because thats where I stopped to zip my jacket up on the way back down the hill. It was pretty brisk this morning on the roadie.
