Next week-end… starting tomorrow actually, i've managed to get Friday off and I will be driving up the coast till Byron, with my bike on the roof.

I've planned to stop at Kiwarrak for sure, but then not sure where to go;
is there any of these I should avoid (overgrown, private etc) or exceptionally good?
• Telegraph Point (near Port Macquarie)
• Kempsey Golf
• Jacks Crossing (futher up of Kempsey)
• Jacks Ridge (near Nambucca Heads)
• Pine Creek (near Coffs)
• Bom Bom (near Grafton)

Telegraph Point or Bom Bom is something that im interested to know particularly, as I will be camping near by.

I was recently up at Kempsey golf club and it was awesome. Park at the golf club and then enter the trails just to the west of the carpark. Print off a map or just follow your nose (but there weren't any arrows to follow) - you'll love it. Minimal climbing but some nice flowy sections of hardpacked single track. Grasstrees and Cannonball are the pick of the flowiness.

Whilst up there we spoke to some locals who said the Jacks crossing trails were in great shape too. They even said someone was out with the leaf-blower but who knows if that was just an urban myth. I'm not sure if Jacks Crossing and Jacks Ridge are actually the same thing - someone with better local knowledge would know.

These same blokes said that Tele Point was also well worth a stop.

Enjoy it.

I went up to Port Macquarie last year and rode at telegraph point. Its a very nice trail, flowy and not very techy. Also at Port Macquarie is Wayne Richards Urban MTB Track, it is a fantastic track. I also would recommend stopping at Jacks Ridge.

Cheers for all those comments, leaving tomorrow morning!

As per "Jacks Crossing and Jacks Ridge are actually the same thing", I've saved in my beloved Google My Maps, that:
Jacks Crossing was here http://goo.gl/maps/2QIEv
and Jacks Ridges was here http://goo.gl/maps/wfbdv

I'm finally back from my trip.
I did Kiwarrak on Thursday, which was very good; there are trails going everywhere, you better print and bring a map to not get lost there. And today on my way back I rode Telegraph Point, which was really nice and flowing pretty well… but unfortunately I came across my first snake in 7 years!
