Hi Folks,

Minter and I are now in South Africa to do Joberg2C, a 911km mountain bike stage race over 9 days....which unfortunately means we are missing the Convict 100km....although I am pretty sure that Dicko is happy about that Eye-wink

We are doing it as a team and will be doing a blog which those who are interested can view at http://ianandminter.blogspot.com/ The plan is to try and do daily updates and we will try to keep it light and humerous (see first two posts), but it is my first stage race and I will also try and give a true account of how things go and how I feel for those who may be considering the leap from 100km enduro's to a stage race.

The race website is http://www.joberg2c.co.za/ and the DAILY RESULTS CAN BE VIEWED HERE..... http://www.joberg2c.co.za/DisplayLink.aspx?group... You should probably look near the bottom of the page!!

You can take a quick look at these two youtube promo clips below which will give you a feel for the race.

Smash it guys - I know you will do really well in this race. Just hold that wheel Ian.

Its a pity that you can't make the Convict Eye-wink I am sure you will have plenty more successes whilst abroad.

Good luck, will be watching / reading each day !

Good luck with the race, you've done the training and I hope that luck is on your side.
When the going gets tough just think how many times you've been up Parriwi to get where you are Smiling
Will be watching the results expectantly and look forward to the blog updates.

Enjoy!

Great work guys - loved reading your blog every day to hear about all the ups and downs.

You performed extremely well given the circumstances. Great effort.
