Is it closed due to the wet weather or some other reason? Is it likely to be open on Friday 14th?
I don't know if it is likely to be open. That depends on Hornsby Council. I recommend you monitor the Twitter feed https://twitter.com/HornsbyMBT or the Hornsby Council webpage which has the Twitter feed embedded http://bit.ly/18AK4Lf before you visit the trail to save you wasted time and disappointment.
