2012 model, when I sit on my bike the rear shock compresses all the way, actually pushes o-ring off the shaft, I've checked air pressure. Can anyone shed some light on this please, or is it a case of leave it for the experts?

Sounds like its time for a new seal kit.

The good news is these are readily available if its the standard size Fox shock and not the mini unit ive seen on some Spesh bikes.

Ive replaced air can seals a few times. Its easy to do and fox has youtube vids abour it.

Thanks Hawkeye, this is the Brain type as well, no hidden sorprises that you're aware of?

When the air can comes off the negative chamber will still have pressure. On a regular shock you put a rag through the eyelet so the can doesn't fly off and punch a hole in the wall of your garage.

Your shock has hardware down that end you need to protect. I dont have access to a pic (using phone to type this) but that might make it a bit harder.

If you can push it down with the Brain on then you'll need to take it to the shop to have it fixed.
