Hardtail 29er

I am looking to purchase a 29er hardtail for easy flowing fire trail type events. I currently ride a trek fuel ex8 which I absolutely love and is one of the smoothest and nicest climbers I have ever ridden. So looking at the bike I have, how much would I be looking at for a similar quality hardtail 29er. I am not a one trick pony trek man so I am open to what your opinions but I am looking for value/$.

This looks really interesting, would love to take one for a ride. Might be worth a look!

That Pivot frame looks suspiciously like a Chinese eBay special.
I know quite a lot of companies buy off the shelf frames and put their decals on them instead of forking out the cash to develop and test one from scratch.

lynskey ridgeline, I've done a few long rides/races on it and for me it's absolutely the perfect bike.
Not going to be cheap, perhaps you could do a quality build for 4-5k, but you would absolutley end up with a bike you could keep for a very very long time.

I have a giant 29er and I love it , it is supper fast , keeps it speed once you get started, it got Fox 32 F29 RLC-100,QR15 thru-axle, tapered steerer fork, SRAM X0/X9 drivetrain, Avid Elixir 7 hydraulic disc brakes, M, And it is all Carbon.

I've just come off an Anthem, and now I'm on a Niner SIR9. (Dually to hardtail)

Steel - I'm a convert. This Reynolds stuff is great.
