Hi there everyone, new to this site. My wife found it for me after i was bleeting that she won't go for a ride with me. Used to do a bit of riding but since i moved up the coast and away from my usual ride partners, haven't done too much for a while. Anyway great site with lots of useful info.

You mention you do some riding at Bulli. What's down there? Can you give us a brief about the trails? XC? DH? Highly prepared trails? Or plain-ol-natural?

There are no legal trails at Bulli. DH and NS but a mix of ownership issues means it's best not to discus them too much....

Oh. I suppose I really wanted to know about any trails that were legal. National Parks, Reserves, etc. Doesn't matter.

Dunno about the whole legality issue that was mentioned. All i know is that it starts of in a reserve and then goes thru the bush. We didn't have to open any gates, come to speak of it there were no gates other than the car barriers at the entrance to the reserve. It's fairly fast in parts and short only takes probably less than an hour to do the run then you have to get back up to the top. The smartest way is to have two cars capable of carrying bikes and park one at the bottom in the vacant lot next to the overpass where you come out.
Have done it a few times for something different and never had any issues..................although others may say something else. Dunno

Ah Christine for me to do Bulli these days it's a roughly 6 hour round trip for me (I live up the coast near Ourimbah). So at the moment (until I move back to Sydney) I think it is a bit out of the question. But if you wanted to try the Ourimbah tracks and I believe there are a few good ones, (I think there is a good downhill around here) did the fire trail a little while ago and it was pretty easy, or the ones out near Wisemans ferry, Hawksbury etc I am keen to try to keep up, (Bit out of shape at the moment and need to get some condition back), or if you know of some easy rides closer to Sydney then let me know and I'll blow the cob webs off.
