Removing RP2 from Reign frame
Hi all. Could somebody help me with some advice - I want to take my Fox RP2 shock off the frame of my 2008 Giant Reign to replace the DU bushes myself. Just can't find any reputable instructions for Step 1 - removing shock from frame! Is it as straight-forward as unscrewing the mounting bolts? Any school boy errors to be mindful of?
If anyone could direct me to a faithful source or instructional video, that would be an extra plus!
(I know all the warnings about making sure air pressure is out of the shock and that there is no negative air pressure, and I am confident in replacing the DU bushes myself.)

It's easy, remove air as you know and then just take out the two bolts and you're done. It helps to support the back wheel with blocks so when you remove it doesn't just drop and it also makes reinserting the bolts easier. The spacers can be fiddle to re-align but it's not too bad.
I use blue loctite to reinstall just in case.
When replacing be sure to use the right bolt torque so you don't crack the mount or have them come apart mid ride.
If you're just replacing the bushings, no need to drop the air out of it. Just unbolt, remove, replace and re-bolt.
Correct torque is quite essential though, as too tight and you may crack something in the long run, too loose and the bolts may come loose by themselves, leading to all sorts of woe (depending on whether you notice the loose bolt or not).
