Just thought I'd share a couple of useful links with you, especially with those who are training for Dirtworks.

If you are looking for a good source of energy during racing, try High5 Nutrition - Energy Source 4:1. It's great stuff for rides of 2+ hours. You can get it at Fastgear, which is located on Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach or online.

The other great link I've come across is www.mapmyrun.com I use this site to map out my training runs, but why not use it to calculate the distance of your training rides.

See you all soon!

Of course, there's also http://www.mapmyride.com/ which is clearly the same as the mapmyrun Anke mentions, but sounds better. Eye-wink

You can draw paths and stuff on plain old Google Maps too if you like, and Google Earth of course.

So many options, so few excuses not to get out! Sticking out tongue

...try and ride the SMH Half Marathon, but I think I'd get disqualifed pretty quickly. Although, it would be fun to see the confusion on some of the runner's faces when overtaken by a mountain bike rider.

Though I'm gutted that the website calculates my run to work being only 8.5km and not 10km as I had thought.

I don't have the direct link but I think it has been mentioned here before that a runner could have finished the 50km Highland Fling in a faster time than some of the cyclists.
