Perimeter near the Golf course was absolutely decimated in the storm yesterday. Not worth trying to bush bash through, far too many trees down for about the first 500m. The western entry to perimeter is completely clear and you can access long from here.

Thanks for that. I'm heading up there later.

That storm was a beauty. We hightailed it from Snives showground just before it hit.

Was fast n furious. I was mid lap of the dam. Managed a few PRs just trying to get to shelter. Don't mind the rain, do mind being struck by falling trees and lightning

Yeah, it was ferocious. At the Golf Course fence it is easier to count the trees still standing, than to count the trees felled. Fun adventure though!

Whoa! I thought you must have been joking, but then looked at the pictures. Completely crazy!

NPWS have been notified and have apparently sent someone out to inspect it today.

I am going out with a couple of people with RFS to start clearing the track - looking at those photos it will take a few days for it to be clear, apparently the following trails also suffered with trees down:
- Terrey Hills/Duck Holes
- Chiltern Track
- Centre Track

Hey All,

We went out last night to try and clear some of the trail and due to the hung up branches in the trees it was too unsafe for us to clear it.

I did see a few people riding the trail and walking through these areas, please be careful as there are branches the size of small trees that have snapped off and are hanging above the trail in the damaged area. There are also trees that are still at risk of falling.

Let's hope NPWS can clear it soon with machines.

We headed out to Perimeter and Long last night for a relaxing cruise, so this took us by surprise and turned it into an unexpected adventure. There's an amazing amount of destruction for about 1km along Perimeter, not just fallen branches but massive trees. And yes a few very large trees hanging across the track, so it's probably not the safest place to be. We did get through but progress is very slow in that section.

Stayed away from Perimeter yesterday, but Centre Track and Duckholes have been cleared by NPWS.
