Bantry Bay progress?
Hi NobMob'ers,
Does anyone have an update on the Bantry Bay trails? I've seen some building materials at the top of the natural bridge track and there's a new "Trail Closed" at the exit point near the bottom of the Currie Road fire trail.
So something's going on just can't find any info on start / end dates for construction.

Not sure when they will open but I hope it is soon. Next month will mark 6 years since they closed the trails.
Can any of the Trail Care guys shed some light on the progress?

On the original timeline it was supposed to have been well and truly completed by now. The holdups have been due to red tape.
The guys are getting an update on either the 6th or 7th. I'll have more to share then.
So keen for this trail and hope to be able to get my girls onto it once they get a bit older!
From the comments I've heard it will be quite a challenging track to ride, far from a dumbed-down newby track. Steep in places and moderately technical.
Had the girls (14 months and almost 4) watching the UCI downhill today cheering on Tracey Hannah and Rachel Atherton! And the 4 year old did a 7K ride around the Bay Ride (Balmain) today on a balance bike... so on her way
Of course Dad also needs a good track to ride as well so VERY happy that there's going to be a good techy ride out in the backyard.
