I was out on the roadie today as I suspected the trails would be quite wet.
Some acquaintances I caught up with at the RFS carpark confirmed my suspicions!
Given that it's fire trail, riding will not be frowned upon, but you might want to consider the effect on your drive trains and brakes. Their bikes sounded pretty crunchy and awful, and gears had stopped working by the time they got back.
Entering via the Japanese school will avoid the worst of the mud/sand/water but it's still going to be pretty rough on your bike.
Hopefully this wind will keep up for a day or two and dry things out. No rain between now and next weekend would be nice!
