Camping Canberra or southern highlands

Kathy and I are looking to go camping for a weekend down in Canberra or the southern highlands over the next few weeks before the cold weather sets in, with a couple of days of biking in the usual pine forest areas.
Does anyone have any recollection or info on camping areas in the vacinity?
Hot showers would be nice but all other creature comforts can be forgotten about.
Cheers

p.s. i see you took Pratiwi down to the S.H. a while ago. is Wingello ok for Kath?

There's a camp site at Wingello with a long drop but that's it. Check State Forests website. I wasn't overly impressed with the accommodation we had (B&B style in Bundanoon), but it's saving grace was great breakie spread. It was freezing at Easter though - I sure wouldn't want to camp there much later!

Pratiwi found the trails very nice, even if a bit tough physically. I dragged her 30Km round Penrose then 17-ish in Wingello two days later. She did well to be honest, seeing as she's not used to that stuff at all. Wingello defo has Penrose beaten on the trails front of course, Pratiwi loved the sniggle there!
