Awaba State Forest update for 24 Apr
ALL HMBA Members and users of Awaba MTB Park
**ALL TRAILS CLOSED - both XC and DH**
Awaba MTB Park was inspected this morning after the storms earlier this week and has been deemed unsafe for both access and riding. There are a great many trees down, trail blockages and even the access road is currently blocked.
A sign has been placed at the entry to Jenkins Rd advising the closure.
State Forests report advise that the risk of potential injury or even death from tree/limb falls remains very real until the ground dries out a bit.
Watch this space for further news, but please stay out for the time being. We will need some dry weather for things to stabilise before we can start and repairs and this won't be happening this weekend.

How long will the track be closed? Is there a lot of work needed?
Well Awaba is still included in stage 3 of the port 2 port race 29/5 - so it cant be too bad - lets hope for a couple of weeks of good weather !
