Knapsack Meeting Location - Southern end of Barnett St

-33.7638288,150.6258996
Details:

Start at 8:00am at the southern end of Barnet St, (below the oval).

Plan is to try and complete the new track we started at the last build day. With enough volunteers we could also start the new alignment for the last closure we did last year. This will help establish the mapped XC circuit.

Blue Mountains City Council have hired Adrian from Synergy to lead the Maintenance days.

Trail maintenance will only run for 4hrs. To get the most out of it, please arrive early and be ready to start.

***EXTREMELY IMPORTANT***
Council and Synergy need to know in advance the number of Volunteers that will be coming. With a bigger turn out means Council and Synergy will hire more staff for the day which also means we can get more done.
If too many people are turning up unannounced it is possible volunteers may be turned away. We do not want this to happen so please register if you are coming.

Please click link to say you will be coming or send an email to [email protected]

Hi Guys,
Excuse me if I am wrong, but I think the meeting point on google maps is different to the image (yellow star marks the spot?).
Do we need to bring tools?
Looking forward to helping on the day.
Thanks,
Martin

Cheers, I've update the Google coordinates.
Best tools to bring are Rakes (Hard, soft or fire), Mattocks and Shovels.
Ideally bring atleast one. The tools tend to get shared around so its Recommend marking it in a unique way so you know which are your tools at the end of the day.
Also please give it a clean as we don't want any soil brought in from your home garden etc.
Also bring water and a snack for yourself.

Looking forward to this one.

We got to make sure we get started as quickly as possible and maximise the time we have.

I really wanted to be part of this, but I now have to go to a training thing for my work :/

I'll keep an out open for future days though.

Is anyone going to bring a bike for a post dig ride?

moggio's picture

I was just thinking that.... 50:50 chance of me doing that.

Bize's picture

My training day has been knocked back for a couple of weeks. . . so count me in.

See you there Laughing out loud

See you all tomorrow, can't wait to attack the section we started last build day!

The nice drop of rain earlier today should make it great for digging tomorrow.
