Still red. I rode through the fire trails yesterday on my way to the fernleigh, but there is a lot of mud and puddles around - the clay climb out of the creek near the shitworks is muddy as hell - whenever that's bad, the rest is too. I wasn't expecting it to be that bad, but the 30mm of rain on Friday Saturday has really soaked in

Do you have more information?

If you've ridden here lately please add a more recent report. This will be useful even if the condition is the same as updates expire after 30 days.

This morning and this arv.
We had about 2mm of rain today but the trails were if anything a bit dryer by this afternoon

- But still very wet.

I checked Baileys, High Roller and Seuss, all with some dry and some very wet patches.
I thought that Shaft would be a lot better but even there was holding water and puddles.

Most of this would be ground water coming to the surface, but it's just one of those times when it doesn't want to dry.

And there is more on the way tonight. hope we don't get too much.
I was hoping to get some MTB kms before the Port to Port.
Might do laps of the fire trails

Yes we had quite a heavy shower overnight water is laying around this morning.

I'll be keeping an eye on it to make sure the status is up-to-date.

If people want to ride on the fire/management trails in the meantime that is absolutely fine - we encourage that.

The P2P will also have to use an alternative if the singletrack hasn't dried out by then.

I think their wet-weather option will be the same as last year. I can't see the NPWS allowing any more.

After the Fernleigh Track it uses the Yuelarbah management trail, same as the dry course, as far as the bottom of Snakes and ladders. Then instead of going up S&L it continues around past the powerline easement and take the next Left up Bailey's Track(Fire Trail) right to the top and exit onto Scenic Drv.

Just wondering if the track is drying out? Any change in status soon? Thanks

Rode some of the fire trails today and it's still wet and muddy in a lot of places, so I'm guessing the single track sections that hold water will also be wet and muddy.

I'll be checking things out tomorrow

Will be interesting to see empy - I'd have hoped that by about Friday things would be only ok.
