Chain slippage of lower jockey wheel

Hi all

Wondering if anyone can help out a mechanically inept mtbr, I have recently been having a few issues with my chain slipping and partially slipping of my lower jockey wheel i think that the rear derailleur or jockey wheel has taken a hit and the spacing between the chain and the guide that holds the jockey wheel in place seems to have just enough gap for the chain to keep slipping. Is there a temporary fix for this or a way to close the gap enough to prevent further slippage?? Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers

Actually, no I'm not kidding. Sticking out tongue Eye-wink

The lower cage is probably slightly bent and in need of straightening. A bit of help with a rubber mallet (aka "soft hammer") and a vice or anvil (after disassembling of course) will likely help. I've managed to fix a couple this way that were otherwise destined for the bin. One even went on to serve me really well for a couple of seasons' racing.

If you're anywhere near Manly Dam PM me and let's see what we can organise.
